This object is a conversation between materials, carrying traces of experimentation, and personal memories.  One Hundred and Fifty-Six Tiles – all cast by hand, glazed individually, and fired in four different atmospheres – form a cohesive whole. Research and archiving intertwine with a structured minimalist aesthetic and a focus on detailed simplicity.

The individual tiles were each glazed with a unique combination, fired in an electric, a gas and two woodfiring kilns and assembled into a bedside table – creating a bridge between furniture design and ceramic research, balancing functionality, sculpture, and open artistic exploration.

If you’re interested in what atmosphere each tile was fired in, you can learn more about the individual tiles in the documentation further down. The number written on each tile of the 3D Scan refers to the glaze combinations and firing atmospheres written on my scanned notes.

If you are interested in the exact glaze recipe, don't hesitate to get in touch with me!
